Henry Tudor landed at Mill Bay near Dale in 1485 before the Battle of Bosworth and in February 1996, the oil tanker Sea Empress ran aground at the Milford Haven entrance spilling 72,000 tonnes of crude oil into the sea.
Dale is a centre point for sailing, and Windsurfing which is taught in the bay, along with sailing and boat handling courses. there are often sailing galas there too which are great fun to watch or participate in.
