Here you see the buffered video stream output from GB3ZZ on the right and the direct video output from their webserver on the left. The Camsecure webserver streams live video from various inputs controlled by the group, as near to real time as the broadband connection allows. If you have been granted a password by the club you can Click Here for access to the server with video controls, audio and recording facilities, but this service runs on Internet Explorer only. The Severnside TV Group are a group of amateur television enthusiasts, based in the City of Bristol in the south west of England. Their catchment area covers the Bristol Channel, lower River Severn and surrounding areas, including Cardiff, Newport and of course Bristol itself. Membership is not limited to this area though as many of their number come from further afield. they operate two television repeater stations, GB3ZZ in Filton in the north of Bristol and GB3XG a few miles south of the city. |
The equipment rack at GB3ZZ holds monitors for incoming and outgoing signals, the receiver, transmitter, antenna switcher, control computer and a VCR to record and later replay signals. There is a PC and a Camsecure Webserver fitted to stream off site to the Internet. Also on the repeater site is a VHF radio link, used to provide feedback from users while maintenance or installation work is being carried out. A modified satellite receiver can be ‘patched’ into the repeater to allow pictures from GB3XG, its sister station to be relayed.
