Good quality and value!! The UC813 webcam offers a good clear picture and has a built in microphone and four lights that light up as the room gets dark. The display is 640x480 with a Frame Rate of up to 15 FPS and 320x240 up to 30 FPS. Manual Focus by turning the lens adjustment at the front and Built in microphone. It also has a heavy clip stand which is really usefull and is easy to fit to notebooks or stand freely without being easily nocked over. Night vision is good with the four built in LED's at reasonably close range. Uses Vi Micro chip icamview compatible. |
The picture is excellent. The microphone is a bit quiet if you sit too far away from it, but its nice and clear, the combined USB and Mic lead can give problems when trying to connect it to a laptop if the sockets arent all on the same side of the machine so in this case you may need just to extend the jack plug. On desktops the leads reach fine. |
To summarise, the UC813 webcam is incredibly cheap at £8.00 and has a cracking picture, and good sound and LED's for night vision. The UC813 will operate on all windows operating systems from windows 98se to Vista. It uses the Vi Micro chip and is therefore compatible with the icamview USB to IP converter which allows you to connect this little webcam directly to the Internet or LAN and view it without the need to connect it to a PC. |
