Get a webcam like this for your own website In 1942 the Airfields Board requisitioned Shenley Farm and used rubble from the blitz to fill in ponds that form part of the runway that is still in use today.

In August 1943, 127 Wing Royal Canadian Air Force took control equipped with Spitfire 1Xbs.

The museum at Headcorn is a fascinations place to visit and among the exhibits there is even a WW2 flying bomb which were nicknamed "doodlebugs".
