We have just finished installing two more Marina Webcams, these are at the Bridgehouse Marina in Garstang, Lancashire UK. The views currently show the general area outside the marina plus down the slipway and the caravan park. Another camera is planned shortly to view down the canal.

Bridgehouse are hosting an open day event this Saturday 19th May so be sure to check in then. Marina Webcam 1 looks at the boat yard immediately outside the marina building and Marina Webcam 2 looks down the slipway and towards the canal. You can often see the large blue crane hauling vessels in and out of the water for maintenance.

More live webcams coming soon.

We will be installing two more webcams in Lancashire tomorrow at Bridgehouse Marina……… we will post here as soon as they are live and on line. With luck this will be the 14th but should be the 15th at the latest so stay tuned folks, they are on their way!

As we now have so many live Camsecure webcams online to us (many more planned too) we have had to modify the way they are listed. This is also a much better and efficient method too. Now when you go to the Camsecure Live Camera Index instead of seeing a list of cameras you will see a UK area map. Click on the area you are interested in and you will be taken to the first live webcam in that area along with a list of all the others currently available in that vicinity. This is far more efficient and we hope soon to be able to include a world map and start displaying some of our live webcams from over seas.

Modifications are being rolled out on the Camsecure website this month in the Live Camera Demonstration section. From May 8th 2012 when you see a small monitor icon with the word “Large” on any of the live camera display pages, this means that this particular webcam has a large screen display option. If you click this icon you will be able to see that camera in a much bigger display mode. Some cameras are also in higher resolution which will provide you with an even better visual webcam experience too. The large option is not available on all cameras so if the “Large” monitor icon is not on that page then this is the reason.

Click Here now to see a camera page with the new option available and click the monitor icon (next to the Welcome message) to see the high res display.

More live webcams will be coming online this month and with the high resolution option, so keep an eye out for them.

Hello again, our first new live webcam for May 2012 is in Lymington UK and is at the Haven Quay. Haven Quay is one of the excellent Yacht Havens group marinas and is located at the bottom of the high street in Lymington. This pleasing view looks out from the side of the quay to where the boats are moored and enter the quay from the sea. This model is one of our IP Webcams for Websites kit 1.

We hope to have more Yacht Havens live webcams soon.

We have three new public webcams planned for installation in May so far. There will be two installed at the Bridgehouse Marina near Garstang in Lancashire and these will be part of the Garstang town webcam system. The third will be another addition to the expanding Gloucester webcams network and this one will be a “GHOST CAM” installed in the Dick Whittington pub. Yes, you heard right, the Dick Whittington is renowned to be a haunted establishment and after the success of the outside webcam looking up Westgate street from the Pub we are installing the Ghost Cam inside the premises which will be angled to view various areas from within. You will be able to log on 24 hours a day and see if you can spot anything super natural.

Live feeds will be on the Camsecure website as soon as these are installed and of course we will keep you fully posted.

We now have another live Camsecure IP Webcam for Websites online, this one is located at Seahouses in Northumberland UK and looks out toward the Farne Islands. See It Live Now.
The Farne Islands are between 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 miles off the coast of Northumberland UK and are noted for the large colonies of sea birds and the home of the grey seal. Grace Darliing carried out her heroic rescue from the Farnes in September 1838.

This camera is mounted on the office of Billy Shiels Boat Trips owned by Billy Shiel M.B.E.

Although this snapshot is taken on a nasty day, check back and see this camera live on a good day and it really is a pleasing sea view.

We have now fitted another live webcam in Gloucester. This webcam is fitted on the Pilot Inn and views down the canal taking in the small lifting bridge. It is a very nice view and you can often see the narrow boats navigating their way up and down the canal. Another camera facing in the opposite direction to view the canal bend is planned for the not too distant future. This webcam was installed as part of the Gloucester Webcams network.

We now have a range of extra covert IR lamps available. Normal IR lamps operate at 850 nm wavelength which is just about visible to the naked eye. However 940 nm is pretty much totally invisible to the naked eye. The problem is that most CCTV cameras response to IR falls off rapidly above 850 nm so if you really do need ultra covert illumination then you need to either make sure that you pay the extra money for a camera with a true response at 940 nm OR realise that you need at least twice the power to illuminate an area using 940 nm lamps with an 850 nm response. SO - the lamps are great, they work really well as we only sell 940 nm in the Wisdom eye range BUT make sure you know the pitfalls before ordering as these are built to order so refunds can not be provided if you have ordered the wrong item.

We have just installed another live Camsecure street webcam as part of the Gloucester Webcams Network. This one is in Eastgate Street in the town centre. It views down Eastgate street towards the main A430 and on weekend nights you can see the clubbers making their way to and from the various night clubs in the street and catching taxis from Andys Cars the local taxi firm:
