Get a webcam like this for your own website GalGael in Scotland provides a range of learning experiences anchored in practical activities that offer purpose and meaning for those participating in the scheme. This live streaming webcam shows one of the workshops where wooden boat building is under way.

GalGael began in Govan on the banks of the Clyde in 1997. Govan is located 2.5 miles west of Glasgow city centre, on the south bank of the River Clyde, opposite the mouth of the River Kelvin and ideally situated for the purpose of boat building.
Govan was once the centre of the world-renowned Clydeside ship building industry, but only a few shipyards still remain today.

In 1841, Iron Ship building began in Govan by a man called Robert Napier and by 1843 had produced its first ship.
