This sailing club was founded in 1900 and is centrally located on the edge of Cardiff Bay, enjoying panoramic views of the Wetlands Nature Reserve and towards the Bay with the Bristol Channel lying beyond that and easily seen on a clear day.
This is a very well established and equipped sailing club and has around 300 yachts and motorboats permanently moored on either trot moorings or pontoons in the freshwater bay, and there are usually over 50 dinghies too. In addition to the spacious club house with bar and dining facilities the club also has a fully equiped boat yard complete with with 2 boat hoists.
